AND THEN MY HEAD EXPLODED!
it was pretty cool looking. o_______o;;;..............I'm shaking....I'm nervous...I shouldn't be...theres no way I'm gonna win this scholarship thing. its all national and junk. well, first local, but Dallas is pretty big. Least I got a cool pic out of it. hm......hopefully, this pic is self explainitory. I had fun with the colors...I really like the way it came out. My mind in a nutshell............an exploding nutshell..but the girl is NOT me. ok? ok. now I have to go write my explanation for this annd write why I wanna study design.......the sad thing is, I don't know what field of art I want in yet....sooo eh.....I gotta sound convencing..........argh, I'm a nervous wreck, whhhy ;____; This is a scholarship submission for the Art Institute poster design competition. I will hopefully be able to go to the open house to the Art Institute of Dallas on Saturday and go tour my dream school that I will never get to go to ;______; too much mooooney...... ps. that girl up there reminds me of Ariel...and that black monster, I call him the ink monster. he spits ink. yay! I HOPE I AM DONE WITH THIS PICTURE *passes out* -edit- changed words at top -EDIT- OMFG I SCREWED UP SO BAD!!! I forgot the second logo. that would've been VERY BAD at judging. I got the correct AI logo too.. ......x___o ok.....calm down, shelley. minor text change also. ooo lala, I used my real name for this. Artwork(c)Samantha Nance 2007 edit- 3/26/07 ..........  [link]-futher editing- so after my many freak outs, this pic won me first place in the local area contest along with $3000, and that made me able to go to my dream school, AI of Dallas. In the national competition, I placed 4th in the country, winning $10,000 more to help me with my expenses. I am so grateful for all that has happened; if not for this, I wouldn't get to go to AI at all. I have the pleasure of attending AI beginning in October, studying media arts and animation  ---> it changed to Graphic Design This pic will be in the 2008 AI calendar (or one of them at least), as April (4th place, 4th month). rocks even more since April is when my birthday is  Can't wait to get my copy ^^-further editing- I made it into Animation my 3rd quarter of college. It's...a tough subject o__o; but hey, just goes to show, if this could happen to me, it could DEFINATELY happen to you~ |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
